Move lever back to closed position after adjustment is complete. It may be necessary to repeat this process a few times until desired tension is achieved. Make small adjustments of one or two clicks, then check lever closing tension. Using a flat blade screwdriver or similar device, turn the adjustment nut (pictured) left or right to loosen or tighten (left-looser, right-tighter).

For this height, install the included riser plate between the Micro3X Magnifier and the Flip Mount. This puts the dot height at a lower 1/3 sight picture when co-witnessed with standard AR-15 iron sights. Positions the magnifier at 1.57 inches from the base surface to the center of the optic. Lower 1/3 Co-Witness Height with Flip Mount and Riser Plate.

For this height, do not install the included riser plate. This puts the dot height at a center (absolute) sight picture when co-witnessed with standard AR-15 iron sights. Positions the magnifier at 1.46 inches from the base surface to the center of the optic.

Absolute Co-Witness Height with Flip Mount. You’re best cost efficient for the quality solution, is sell the vortex, throw the funds in to defray the cost of the aimpoint 3x-c optics planet has it for 287 right now, and get the FAST FTC aimpoint mount. It would be nice if more companies followed suits to use standardized mounting footprints, the way holosun has been doing for the “mid tier Mike” market where their pistol mounted and some of their rifle mounted optics share the same footprint as some aim point and trijicon red dots and optics, it would drive the mounting solution market out of whack but it would offer more mounting solutions or different optics, like for fuck sakes… it’s bad enough I have to read hours of articles and research, and t&e on optics, you would think mounting them would be the part where they make shit simple for you. The fellow in the comments here is right, the aimpoint magnifier is a 30mm tube so if you purchase that FTC FAST unit it will work with any magnifier that is 30mm, that could be a Burris or Steiner (I don’t own those I do own the aimpoint) there unfortunately aren’t many magnifiers that share the same footprint as the EOTech G33 (the sig sauer Juliet 4 MAY have a similar footprint to the g33 but the last time I saw one with any sense of consideration was at SHOTshow January 2020). According to the folks at vortex, their words not mine, in a post on their support page here on Reddit, their magnifiers are only compatible with their mounts/flip mounts, I don’t personally own one but my brother does and he recently upgraded to the unity riser as well.
